Food Standards Scotland gives this advice to consumers:
MOMA Foods is carrying out the recall. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores selling these products and on the company's website, explaining why the products are being recalled and what to do if they have been bought1. A point of sale notice is attached to the Food Standards Scotland alert1.
Why it matters for households
The recall now applies to a much wider span of stock than a single batch: any of the listed MOMA products with a best before date between 24/04/2026 and 12/03/2027 falls within it1. Households with these products in cupboards or emergency food stores are affected, and the alert says they are unsafe to eat1. Food Standards Scotland advises people who have bought them not to eat them and to return them to where they bought them for a full refund1. The alert does not state how many products or batches are involved, and no illnesses linked to the products have been reported in it1.
What happens next
Point of sale notices are to be displayed in all retail stores selling the products and on the MOMA Foods website1. Food Standards Scotland's alert was published and last updated on 27 March 20261. No further update has been reported.
Households checking stock can use the site's guidance on shelf life, use by and best before dates to read the dates on packs, and the food hub for more on food safety and storage.
